Art Section

In achieving the essential competencies with regard to common National Goals, Aims and Objectives of education, the aims of the Advance Level Art stream, Embiliptiya President s College is to achieving the following objectives.
Our aim is to render the society with patriotic, virtuous citizens who are capable of deriving high entertainment, creative, adaptable, able to face challenges and work with transparency, cooperative, tolerating others opinions, highly accountable and responsible, sensitively ready to contribute towards the conservation of the public property and work to ensure the National identity of our country.

To achieve the above objectives we do,

  • Pehesaraniya Art festival and Annual Prize giving
  • Annual Educational trip.
  • The vesak sil campaign and the Vesak lantern competition.
  • The Program of Poson Bethi Gee (Hymns of devotion) has been instrumented

Food Technology

Food science

Although the subject of food technology was introduced as an Advanced level subject in 2006 by the National institute of education the subject was introduced for the advanced levels students in Embilipitiya President s College in 2008.

Mrs. D.Wasantha is working as a subject teacher. The students who follow this subject acquire special practical knowledge on food technology. Not only that they can acquire the wide knowledge of food preservation, food diversitification and preparing different kinds of food such as fruits, Vegetables, fish, meat, grain etc as productions for the trade. All the needed machinery and electrical equipment have been given to our school by the National institute of education in recent past.

The main objective of introducing the food technology subject to the students of our school is not only for the university entrance but to give more chances to start self employments on food productions.
